New friends for FuuZzi
Kamila Niewitala Owner of FuuZzi business solutions, tells us how the Group2Grow Peer Network Programme has expanded her business connections and helped her fine-tune her promotional materials to create a clear and consistent message.
FuuZzi (www.fuuzzi.com) is an independent business consultancy based in Chelmsford, aimed at helping parents to turn their passion into a business. Offering life coaching, and packages to help you setup your business, including support with things like logos, website design, business name, and a slogan. FuuZzi is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs fulfil their dreams whilst maintaining a work/life balance.
“Having been a stay-at-home mum for several years myself, I noticed how difficult it can be for parents to get back into work, and find something flexible enough to deal with sickness and school holidays. This made me want to help people to use their skills and knowledge to set up their own businesses, as well as highlight the many ways they can upskill from home, as many are unaware of the opportunities available to them.”
Whilst raising her son, Kamila spent her time at home upskilling, taking courses in administration and Microsoft Office programmes, and using online resources to learn website design. Kamila is now an experienced and qualified Personal Consultant, Life & Business coach and the member of ACCPH and volunteer coach at Shaw Trust.
In 2019 she then decided to utilise all of her skills and qualifications to create FuuZzi, which means ‘Breeze of possibilities’, to support and introduce others into the idea that a passion can be turned into profit.
After operating for several years, Kamila reached a point where she wanted to broaden her business network, creating new partnerships and developing her business offerings, and so she joined the Group2Grow Programme.
The Group2Grow programme is a Peer Network provided by business support initiative Backing Essex Business. The programme which is fully funded by Essex County Council, was created to bring business leaders together to discuss common problems and work together to share experiences and knowledge to help each business move forward. In groups of 8-10 business professionals, you receive 8 free 2 hour sessions. These are hosted by an experienced business coach who helps to guide each meeting, and provides their own valuable insight. In additional to this, each participant receives 3 hours 1:2:1 mentoring with the coach to discuss individual goals.
“I previously tried local networking groups, but I found that the ones I went to, the groups weren’t very welcoming, and weren’t very well organized. Group2Grow has been a refreshing experience and has been very well planned and executed. It’s been really nice to see and hear different business owners and their experiences. They are very open and willing to share their knowledge, which I have found really helpful.”
Currently working alone, Kamila has found the Group2Grow sessions really beneficial to gain feedback on her strategy and forward planning.
“There’s always something helpful to take out of every session, whether that be feedback, new ideas, or how to approach certain tasks. I have already gained from the sessions, particularly from feedback on my videos and website. The group members and Graham had some excellent suggestions, including adding subtitles, which I have already implemented! It’s also been great to meet all of these business owners who I may not have met otherwise, it’s been like making new friends”
The only downside Kamila told us, is it’s coming to an end.
The 1:2:1 sessions with our experienced business coaches are an opportunity to discuss your individual goals, and get personalised advice on how to achieve them.
“Graham has been very easy to talk to, and is always happy to share his knowledge. The 1:2:1s have been so useful, I just reach the end of the hour, and wish I could have longer! The concept of working ‘On’ the business rather than ‘In’ the business is something that has really stuck with me. The whole experience has been really positive”
